Fish For Fun
For all of those fishermen out there that fish simply for the joy of fishing, and wish to simply have a good time, I have the perfect plan for you.
When I was a young teen, and was just starting to learn to fly fish, a close friend of the family used to take me fishing in the local marshes and ponds.
These weekly ventures were a great way to practice casting, and other fishing strategies. Over the coarse of the seasons, we discovered the key to successful warm-water fishing: cork poppers.
Every weekend we would wake up early and head up the a local pond for a few good hours of fishing. It was always a guarantee that we would catch a bountiful amount of fish, usually simply bluegill or other panfish. Some weekend we would catch up to several dozen panfish.
Upon returning home, we would fillet our catch and prepare the small pieces of fish in a number of different ways. These events always made for a great time, and always resulted in long-lasting memories. I truly suggest that anyone that wishes to have a good time, take a kid fishing, and simply have a good time with a couple cork poppers. The rewards will be memorable, and quite tasty.
